Inspection

Our professionally-trained technicians service and repair all brands and all types of heating, cooling, humidification, and ventilation systems from manufacturers like Bryant, Honeywell, Aprilaire, Carrier, Lennox, Trane, York, Weil-Mclain and more. When an All Temp technician inspects your heating or cooling comfort system, you can be assured that the following checks have been performed in accordance with the terms of your planned service agreement:

Cooling

  • Install gauges
  • Check voltage and amperage to all motors with meter
  • Check CFM across evaporator coils
  • Check for adequate refrigerant charge and possible leaks
  • Check evaporator superheat
  • Lubricate all moving parts
  • Check belt and adjust tension
  • Check filters
  • Check pressure switch cutout settings
  • Check start capacitor and potential relay (if applicable)
  • Check compressor contractor
  • Check all wiring and connections
  • Clean and adjust thermostat
  • Clean condensing coil
  • Check that condensate drain is open

    Gas Heat

  • Check and adjust thermostat
  • Clean and adjust all safety controls
  • Clean burners and controls
  • Clean and adjust pilot assembly
           a) check standing pilot
           b) check electronic spark ignition controls
  • Adjust burner for efficiency
  • Check for gas leaks in furnace
  • Lubricate moving parts
  • Check belt and adjust tension
  • Check filters
  • Check vent pipe and draft diverter
  • Check fan control
  • Check manifold pressure
  • Check furnace for cracked heat exchanger
  • Check temperature rise
  • Check complete furnace cycle

    Heat Pump

    (Use all cooling checks plus)
  • Check reversing valve
  • Check defrost control

    Electric Heat

  • Check electrical wiring - connections and insulation
  • Check amperage draw on each element
  • Check total amp draw of elements
  • Check temperature rise ___ degrees Fahrenheit
  • Return outdoor thermostats to original settings if applicable

    Hot Water Heater

  • Size 40G - 50G General condition
           a) excellent / good / fair / poor
  • Clean burners and controls
  • Clean and adjust pilot assembly
  • Check standing pilot
  • Adjust burner for efficiency
  • Check for gas leaks at HWH
  • Check vent pipe and draft diverter
